Terms and Policies

We (“company”) sell our products by phone, through sales representatives, and on several different websites and/or catalogs. Some of those websites and/or catalogs may indicate wholesale pricing requiring minimum purchases while others are retail pricing with no minimum. Some sites only manufacture to order, while others sell products that are in stock. Because of these differences, not all terms and conditions apply to all modes of purchase. Please take care to note the exceptions. 

THE FOLLOWING TERMS APPLY TO ALL WITH SOME EXCEPTIONS

Website: The principal website for sale of products is www.sigmavases.com

Products: Products for sale include, but are not limited to Giannis Vasileios Hellenic Vases, Limited Edition Greek Vase Prints and Greek Vase Prints.

Company: The company responsible for selling our products is Sigma Vases and Prints, LLC.

Giannis Vasileios Hellenic Vases: Vases are handmade and painted in Athens, Greece. Vases are not mass produced or made in China. Each vase is individually crafted and painted. Dependent on seasonal availability of clay and materials may take up to two months to complete. Because of the actual hand workmanship, both the size and the figure painting on each vase may vary slightly. A Certificate of Title and Authenticity comes with each vase.

Limited Edition Greek Vase Prints: Limited edition vase prints are sold in sets of five different vases. There are usually two prints for each vase, a single vase on fine art paper and a vase with an ancient Greek landscape for background. Prints are produced using the Giclee fine art printing process. Each print is individually numbered to correspond to total print production. A Certificate of Title and Authenticity comes with each print. Each vase is digitally painted from our collection of Greek vases.

Greek Vase Prints: We offer Giclee fine art vase reproduction prints from our collection of original 1700 and 1800’s antique engravings of Greek vases,

Information on Our Website and Catalog: We try to be as accurate as possible with the information that we present about our products. We make reasonable efforts to accurately display the attributes of the products we sell. We do not warrant that product descriptions or content is accurate, complete, or error-free. Prices and promotions are subject to change. We cannot confirm the availability or price of an item until the order has been fulfilled. Despite our best efforts, sometimes an item in our catalog or website may not be available, the offer may have been misstated, or an item and shipping may be mispriced. For any of those reasons, we reserve the right to cancel your order, or we may contact you for instructions on the order. 

Content Policy:   By submitting an image via our website or other means for the purpose of printing you certify that you have all necessary rights required to use the image without infringing or violating the rights of any third-party entity. These rights include but are not limited to trademarks, copyrights, and patents. The images sent should not be obscene, hateful, libelous, threatening, or slanderous. They should not be unlawful in any way nor violate any applicable rule, regulation, or another person’s privacy. The company takes no ownership of the content that is shared with us for the purpose of printing. The company. reserves the right to request that proof of ownership or right to print is sent prior to release of order into production. For more information, please visit our copyright policy. 

New Accounts: All initial orders must be purchased by credit card or prepaid. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Net Thirty (30) day terms may be available after the first order to companies with a satisfactory credit rating. After your initial order you may request a credit application for an open account. Please allow 3-5 business days for the processing of your credit application upon receipt of 3 satisfactory credit references, a completed and signed credit application, and signed Terms and Conditions. Credit Card Orders: Orders being paid for by credit card will be charged when the order is placed to verify credit card information. If your card declines, we will make a reasonable effort to contact you. If we cannot reach you, the order will be canceled.

Payment by Check: Eligible organizations who purchase products on a wholesale basis should make payment with company check payable to Sigma Vases. A special wholesale price list is sent to such organizations.

Final Sale: All sales of goods and/or services shall be final and payment in full shall be in accordance with all other terms, conditions, and agreements included on this page and the credit application. No transaction shall be construed to be a consignment of said goods and/or services. The person, company, or legal entity executing the credit application or submitted order is liable for all legal fees, services, and/or costs arising out of or associated with judgments rendered on behalf of the company. should the company. be forced to initiate court action against applicant or purchaser.

Taxes: Consumer/Purchaser is responsible for any State, County, City, or Municipal Consumer Use Tax and import duties. We only collect taxes for orders shipped within the state of New York. If you are tax-exempt and your order is shipping to New York, we must have your tax-exempt form on file or taxes will be collected on the order. (Click here for a Multi-state Tax Exempt form.) 

Canceled Orders: Orders may not be canceled or modified once the production of the order has begun. Modifications can only take place within 24 hours of the order being placed. 

Returned Checks: Returned or NSF checks will result in your account being placed on a prepaid or credit card status only. A forty-dollar ($40) service charge will be assessed for each returned check. 

Refused/Undeliverable Orders: Please do not refuse an order without contacting Customer Service first at 518 234-9599. Refused shipments are subject to a 25% restocking fee and freight charges will not be refunded. 

Minimum Order: When ordering on any of our websites or catalog as a retail customer, there may be a minimum order required. When ordering on any of our websites or catalog as a wholesale customer, orders must be a minimum of one-hundred dollars ($100) to receive our low, wholesale pricing. 

Claims: If damage has occurred and you feel that it was due to mishandling by the freight carrier, please contact Customer Service on 518 234-9599 to advise us immediately. You must call us within 48 hours of receipt of packages to report a claim. We will then file a claim with the carrier. Please keep all packaging until the claim has been settled. We are absolutely not responsible for any shipping damage. 

Shipping: All orders are shipped via UPS, Fed Ex, DHL, or USPS. Orders are typically shipped at a fixed price stated on the product selection. There is an additional charge for international shipping.  

Back Orders: Back orders of over Fifty dollars ($50) will be shipped upon arrival of materials. Back orders over 30 days old will be canceled. If you do not want a back order shipped, please notify us. Most of our orders are shipped complete. No back orders are allowed on closeout frame orders.

Prices: Both retail and wholesale prices are subject to change without notice.

Frame Selection: Frame selection may vary from pictures shown on the website or in the catalog. 

Custom Product Program: We can consider custom orders. Please contact our Customer Service Department at 518 234-9599 for further information. 

Defective Product: We must be notified of any defect in the product within 10 days of receipt of goods. Upon return of the product a replacement will ship in 3 full business days. Any defective product will be replaced by a new and identical product free of charge. 

Rush Order: Orders will typically be shipped within five (e) business days of receipt. Rush orders are subject to a minimum fee of twenty-five dollars ($25) or 20% of the order total whichever is greater. The availability of the rush service is dependent upon the current production volume.
